A unique and exciting opportunity exists for an Anaesthetic Technician to assist with the delivery of care including servicing and maintenance of anaesthetic equipment and providing technical assistance to anaesthetists within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide a service to DAPM, including technical assistance and patient care during the induction, maintenance and completion of all forms of anaesthesia and sedation for elective and emergency patients wherever anaesthetics are administered in the SCHHS.
  • Provide expert patient care through the application of a contemporary framework under the direct supervision of the anaesthetist including the assessment, planning and evaluation of anaesthetic care for the patient.
  • Provide support and assistance related to anaesthetics to other hospital and Perioperative staff as directed by the Director of DAPM. This includes on call duties if required.

Remuneration value up to $8183 p.m., comprising salary between $2374.60 - $3299.10 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP2) (temporary position available for six months).
