Austin Health Emergency Department is a tertiary level ED operating over 50 treatment spaces, and a 24 bed short-stay unit. Austin ED provides emergency care and treatment to both Adults and Paediatric patients, with over 90 000 presentations per annum. Austin Emergency Department is currently operating in line with Covid19 guidelines issued by Victoria’s Department of Health and Human Services. Austin Health is a leading site for screening and management of Covid19 in Melbourne’s North East.

An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic registered nurses with minimum 1 years Nursing experience to join our 2021 Foundations in Emergency Nursing Course.

The 12-month program focuses on skill development for nurses with minimal emergency experience. The course follows an established professional development framework which supports junior nurses to transition into specialty practice. The program is supported by the Clinical Education team who have passion and commitment for supporting learners.

Successful applicants will be team focused with a commitment to ongoing learning. A minimum 1 years acute surgical and medical nursing experience is a prerequisite to apply for this role, participants from 2020 graduate nurse programs are invited to apply.
