  • $30 - $38 per hour + Super | 38hours per week

Our NSW State Government client is committed to providing mobile health services for the community of NSW. They are currently seeking a First Contact Coordinator with extensive administration experience to join their growing team in Leichhardt. This is an estimated 3-month temporary assignment with a potential to extend

Reporting to the Manager, you will be required to provide customer service triage function as the first point of contact and administrative support to the organisations employees seeking advice on how to notify a workplace injury, incident or lodge a claim for Workers Compensation.


In this role, you will be responsible for, however not limited to the following –

  • Act as first point of contact, delivering professional and empathetic customer service
  • Answering enquiries relating to workers compensation from employees and managers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Receive and allocate all notifications of injuries and claims from employees
  • Make first contact with injured workers within 24hours of receipt of claim
  • Gather, collate and document all information relating to injury lodgement and management
  • Manage and maintain databases including accuracy of personal details, incident, medical reports and all other processes relating to the claim
  • Authorise commencement of treatment in form of counselling for claims relating to psychological injury
  • Provide claimants with list of counselling services available
  • Records and database management, ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Generate routine reports to identify areas of improvement and mitigate risks
  • Establish and maintain effective key stakeholder relationships, working collaboratively in particularly with Safety and Recovery team
  • Ensure best practice and compliance with legislative requirements and procedural guidelines

To be successful in securing this rewarding opportunity you will have the following –


  • Demonstrated experience working within a high volume Contact Centre environment
  • Previous experience working within a sensitive or complex environment
  • Workers Compensation or Public Sector experience highly desirable
  • Professional and Empathetic Customer Service
  • Impeccable Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Excellent keyboard skills with a typing speed of 40-45 wpm with an accuracy of 90%
  • High attention to detail
  • Superior organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Solid conflict resolution and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
