About the position

  • Responsible for maintaining network architecture and standards of the parliamentary network
  • Design and implement improvements to IT network communication and infrastructure
  • Manage network communications vendors’ performance
  • Ensure the security of any changes to the network
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement, emerging risks, vulnerabilities and threats and drive service improvement
  • Act as a lead expert and manager in the planning and design of IT projects which involve network communications infrastructure

Essential Skills:

  • Must have expert knowledge of switching, routing and troubleshooting in a Cisco enterprise environment
  • Ability to play a lead network communication design role for a multisite IT network
  • Extensive knowledge of network security principles and practices across a wide range of hardware and software
  • Must have handson experience in the design, configuration management, operation and problem troubleshooting using Cisco Dynamics Multipoint VPN- MPLS, ISE
  • Knowledge of Cisco Wireless Networks; Citrix NetScaler; Palo Alto firewall systems and VOIP
