The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage is responsible for planning and managing land and heritage for all West Australians – now and into the future. 

We lead and advise on key projects across the state. Our key focus areas are: 

  • Aboriginal heritage and lands management
  • Crown land administration
  • Historic heritage conservation services
  • Integrated land and infrastructure policy development
  • Land use planning and policy development

The Opportunity;

We are seeking an innovative, hardworking, passionate and flexible individual to lead our Ministerial Services team. In this position you will work closely with the Manager of the Office of Director General to provide an interface between the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, Ministerial offices, Government agencies and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have proven success in leading a team and excellent communication skills.

In this role you will be required to provide high level strategic advice and support across a range of complex and sensitive matters with a focus on external strategic Government and Ministerial priorities. You will build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well provide leadership and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and frameworks to support the Department’s priorities.

This is a permanent, full-time position. Suitable applicants may be considered for appointment to similar (permanent and fixed term, full and part-time) vacancies for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial date of the appointment.
