The Location

The hospital is located a 4 hour drive South of Adelaide in the major service centre for the region and is a thriving progressive community with a local population of over 25,000. The city boasts beautiful parks and gardens, and with fresh local food and wines available at many cafes and restaurants everyone's tastes are catered for.

The Department

Joining the motivated team of experienced professionals, you will be responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to you. This will be achieved in consultation with the responsible Junior Staff, Consultants, Visiting Specialists, Nurses and Allied Health professionals. Bringing any doubts or concerns to the attention of the Consultant immediately, you will provide an effective and accurate clinical handover of patient care at the change of daily shifts and at the change of a clinical attachment.

The Facility

The facility delivers services to over 94,000 people and a further 175,000 people annually at country emergency departments. The Service is the largest hospital in rural South Australia and has been identified in the Government's 'Plan for Country Health' as one of the four general hospitals which will provide treatment for country people closer to home.

 
The Requirements

To apply you will need to have completed one of the following you should hold current conditional or general registration with AHPRA and have at least 12 months recent experience working within Emergency Medicine. Or have been assessed by ACEM
