The Position

Title: Registered Nurse

Department: Emergency

Classification: Nurses & Midwives EA (Grade 2 YP3- Grade 10 YP11)

Hours per fortnight: 64

Status: 2 X maternity leave vacancies (up to 12 months)

• Post-graduate qualifications in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing or relevant experience working in these environments preferred

• As required, these positions will also include rotations through the High Dependency Unit

Applications are sought from suitably qualified Registered Nurses to work as part of the Emergency Department team at Echuca Regional Health.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide safe and comprehensive patient focused emergency nursing care.
• Conduct patient assessment and plan care relevant to disease and treatment.
• Provide education and advice to patients and carer’s on treatments and symptom management.
• Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.

Our team requires someone who has:

• Proven experience in delivering high quality nursing care.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills relating to emergency nursing care.
• Strong team focused and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Emergency/critical care post graduate qualifications or recent experience preferred.

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment.
