The Principal Consultant, HR Reform will support the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) in the planning, design, delivery and implementation of a range of HR reform activities to improve the effectiveness of people practices for the SA Public Sector.
The Principal Consultant, HR Reform will provide high quality research, expert advice, across-sector consultancy services and workshops associated with these activities and initiatives, and will work closely with agency executives to shape, support and implement systems, processes and tools to improve HR performance and enhance the employee experience across the sector.
The incumbent will exhibit strong business acumen to partner with agencies and encourage strategic and contemporary thinking, build functional excellence, and develop tailored workforce solutions to improve people performance, promote customer service and enhance the credibility of the HR profession.
Collaboration, consultation and change management are critical skill areas for this role. With the successful candidate being able to lead consultation with senior executives to design and test new thinking and approaches; assess performance of current people practices and propose recommendations to enhance performance and impact.
From initial consultation, the Principal Consultant, HR Reform will drive the necessary reform agenda and operate in a highly collaborative manner with Agency HR leads and other key stakeholders to support implementation strategies.
The role will also be required to research initiatives on behalf of the CHRO, provide recommendations in terms of policy positions. All of which will be accompanied by appropriate briefings, cabinet submissions and business cases for significant initiatives.
