JOB DESCRIPTION

The vibrant Town of Victoria Park is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Coordinator to join our governance team in a full-time capacity.


You will be responsible for the provision of strategic leadership and specialist governance advice.


Our ideal candidate has:


  • skills and knowledge to effectively manage the Town’s governance responsibilities and to ensure legislative compliance across the organisation.
  • skills and experience to provide leadership and direction to the Governance and Strategy team.
  • to be highly knowledgeable in governance, local government compliance legislation, council procedures, corporate planning, strategy development, and is acknowledged by peers.
  • ability to build constructive working relationships characterised by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification an equivalent level of knowledge and practical experience and significant management experience.


You will have extensive knowledge of governance responsibilities and the ability to interpret and apply legislation, local laws, and policies, as well as the ability to effectively lead, motivate and coach a team.
