JOB DESCRIPTION

The Principal Consultant, Culture and Engagement is responsible for leading the development and delivery of sector-wide strategic organisational development projects, policies and frameworks to support an agile and high performing public sector workforce.

The role is responsible for providing high level strategic advice to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Commissioner for Public Sector Employment on appropriate culture and engagement initiatives. Specifically, initiatives which contribute to the broader HR and workforce reform agenda, supporting the design, development and implementation of the progrms which will enrich the employee experience and result in a safe, inclusive and high performing public sector.

A key deliverable for the role is to project manage and lead the planning, design, delivery and response to the I WORK FOR SA – Your Voice Survey by facilitating agency engagement, interpreting results and identifying key priorities for improvement.

The role will work closely with agency representatives from across the sector, and the survey provider to ensure the effective delivery of the survey and will facilitate the reporting on survey results and defining the approach to action planning within OCPSE and with public sector agencies.

The Principal Consultant, Culture and Engagement will be required to provide strategic advice to the CHRO and the Commissioner for Public Sector employment on recommended actions as a result of the survey and potential implications for the workforce transformation roadmap, diversity and inclusion strategy and OCPSE programs.

The role will engage more broadly with the OD community and HR leaders to identify opportunities and contribute to actions which enhance employee engagement and the employee experience.
