We have a new opportunity for a Corporate Governance Advisor to join our General Counsel and Company Secretariat team on a permanent, full-time basis in our Perth office.

Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, you will support the effective planning, coordination and delivery of the Company Secretariat including coordinating all listed and legal requirements to ensure the Company meets its corporate compliance obligations.

The opportunity

  • Assist with St Barbara’s compliance obligations, particularly ASX and ASIC compliance, preparing necessary forms and attending to lodgements.
  • Provide support in the effective organisation of Board and Board Committee meetings, including supporting the General Counsel and Company Secretary with preparation of agendas, minutes and papers.
  • Maintain the corporate calendar and manage timelines for submission of Board and Board Committee agendas and papers.
  • Assist with the preparation and effective running of St Barbara’s annual general meeting.
  • Assist with maintaining company registers.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the St Barbara’s annual Corporate Governance Statement.
  • Provide general advice and support on corporate compliance and best practice corporate governance to enhance St Barbara’s corporate governance framework.

What we will expect from you

  • You should feel a strong alignment with St Barbara’s values as you will be required to live them. You will use our values, along with our five commitments, to guide your decision making as you work for the safety and wellbeing of our people.
  • You have experience working in a legal environment, or have experience with the operation of Boards and associated processes, including preparation and distribution of Board papers.
  • You have experience providing administrative support to the Company Secretary, preferably in an ASX listed company, and dealing with highly confidential matters.
  • You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of an organisation.
  • You have the ability to process large volumes of information with an excellent attention to detail.
  • You have excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders to achieve deadlines.
