The Company

Our client is an independent provider of investment products within Australia. Through their strategic partnerships with international and Australian fund managers, they provide investment solutions across a diverse range of asset classes including Australian and international securities.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a junior financial services professional to join this high performing team. The role is responsible for contributing to the delivery and ongoing oversight of prospective and existing multi-asset funds and managed accounts investment solutions. The role will focus on undertaking investment governance, operations and investment implementation tasks.

Key Accountabilities

  • Investment Governance and Operational tasks
  • Daily cash flow management, portfolio trading and distribution process for multi-manager funds
  • Investment implementation and rebalancing of multi-manager funds and managed accounts
  • Liaise with fund administrator/custodian, platform administrators and investment managers on investment operational matters
  • Preparation of client reports
  • Investment performance and compliance monitoring
  • Portfolio fee calculations and analysis under the RG97 regime
  • Underlying manager rebate reconciliation and receipt process for multi-manager funds / managed accounts
  • Stakeholder management with internal and external stakeholders
  • Process management and process improvement

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Experience in funds/asset management, ideally in an operations and/or investment reporting role
  • Strong understanding of investments, asset allocation and funds management
  • Strong analytical skillset and mindset
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Confident Excel user (formulas)
  • Good prioritization skills
  • Quick learner
  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant business discipline
