Team Nova is a Major Service Provider to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) within the Australian Department of Defence. Comprised of Nova Systems, QinetiQ and PwC, Team Nova offers a true sovereign capability committed to growing the capacity of CASG and industry over the coming decade to deliver on the Integrated Investment Program. About the opportunity:

Have you been interested in working in Defence projects?
If you have not yet had the opportunity to gain Defence experience, we will provide the training and development to grow your career across a variety of Defence projects in Engineering and Project Management Consulting services.

These opportunities are ideally suited to applicants with 2-7yrs of Engineering experience either in previous Defence, Automotive, Maritime, Aviation or Rail environments. What will you be involved in:

  • Working in CASG Engineering Governance role;
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering policy and processes;
  • Providing engineering advice to CASG projects;
  • Reviewing and assessing international standards applicability to CASG;

What we would like from you:

  • Engineering degree (Aerospace, Electronics / Electrical, Mechanical / Mechatronic, Systems Engineering or other relevant engineering field);
  • Hunger to learn and grow your career;
  • Minimum 2-5 years of systems engineering experience desirable;
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the Defence Acquisition environment (highly desirable but not essential);
  • Previous experience working in the CASG or SPO environments (highly regarded). 
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to achieve an AGSVA security clearance;
  • Have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Be a team player with a can-do attitude.
