Private Wealth Manager- Governance Conduct and Culture, Business Controls and Monitoring How will I help?You will assist the Executive Manager, Governance, Conduct and Culture - Private Wealth, Business Division to provide expert advisory risk and compliance support and effective oversight and control to the Private Wealth business. Also, you will support the 1st Line Control and Monitoring Framework for Private Wealth, predominantly for Governance, Culture and Regulatory Change, including embedding and testing of controls, ongoing monitoring, and training within Private Wealth. This includes assessing the impact of any regulatory change or projects and reviewing of business procedures as they relate to obligations and risks.
As a Manager, you will provide advice on appropriate controls and operational processes to be developed in the context of new or existing business initiatives and in response to changing regulatory or Westpac policy requirements. You will provide measures to enhance the effectiveness of existing controls over time. Including through reviewing findings from assurance reviews, testing, and other internal and external reviews.
You will develop strong relationships with business partners, supporting the overall business agenda, whilst maintaining necessary functional independence and be effective and proactive in spotting and identifying issues including in Regulatory Change meetings and other relevant Risk Committee meetings . In addition, you will work closely within the Business Division 2nd line Risk and Compliance teams to develop a proactive management agenda to ensure there are no gaps in coverage in respect to Private Wealth.

What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will have Risk and Compliance related experience derived from roles within either financial services, consultancy or government and prior experience in Operational Risk and Compliance. Experience in managing Regulatory Change projects and the embedding of these changes in the Business is preferred.
You will have demonstrated experience in managing key stakeholder relationships at a senior level both internally and externally and the ability to adapt to rapid digitisation and technology change in financial services.
