Our NSW State Government client is the state’s primary environmental regulator. They hold people and organisations to account through licensing, monitoring, regulation and enforcement to ensure the NSW Community maintains healthy ecosystems for enhancing liveability. They are currently looking for an experienced Branch Manager with extensive leadership experience to join their growing team in Parramatta. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a strong potential to extend.

Leading a small administrative team, you will be required to work across different teams to provide diverse administrative support services including budget development process, Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Administration and Information Management Systems as well as ICT

In this exciting role, you will be undertaking the following duties -

  • Deliver high level, professional customer service
  • Answer enquiries, providing accurate and timely responses
  • Oversee, lead and mentor a small team of administration professionals in the delivery of divisional services
  • Take escalations and resolve complaints
  • Provide finance support including monitoring and managing budgets, purchase orders and invoicing
  • Deliver financial advice and control to Divisional Management
  • Complete human resource activities including coordinating recruitment actions and HR data services
  • Facilitate onboarding and off-boarding processes for employees
  • Prepare high level documents including correspondence, briefing notes, agenda’s, meeting minutes, presentations and reports
  • Provide ICT support services including system access and arranging equipment
  • Manage and maintain office equipment and stationery
  • Distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
  • Records and database management, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and integrity
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and streamlining of processes
  • Ensure compliance with Government policies and procedures

To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following - 

  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a small team
  • Previous Administration experience within a shared services environment
  • Previous HR and financial management experience
  • Public Sector experience highly advantageous
  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail 
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Excel and SAP
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
