Role Purpose
Responsible for the development and provision of policy analysis and advice on portfolio issues of interest to the Premier and/or Cabinet. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders to provide well formulated advice and to develop innovative policy proposals. We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic policy professional with excellent writing, analysis and negotiation/influencing skills. Initial contract up to 12 months with the potential for longer term arrangements.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
- People in these roles will be expected to move around DPC over time to broaden their experience.
- Applications from those wishing to work less than full-time hours will be considered, subject to the timeframes associated with servicing Cabinet meetings.
- Positions may be offered in either Cabinet Office or Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation.
- This role will be offered at either an ASO5 or ASO6 classification depending on the experience and qualifications of the preferred candidate.
- May be required to participate in the State Crisis Centre during exercises and incidents, and may be required to obtain a National Security Clearance to the level of Secret.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent significant work experience.

$80,830 - $89,897 p.a.
