The Opportunity:

The GRC specialist role fulfils the Line 1 Governance, Risk, and Compliance requirement in the Operations (Fund Administration) team.

The Operations Team is responsible for processing and administering superannuation services for all our members. Some of these services include payment processing, Insurance, Reporting and member account maintenance. Our Operations team is at the heart of our fund administration, ensuring that members information, and investment preferences are maintained and updated as required.

The risk role is critical in ensuring that any changes in this area do not negatively impact our members, whilst maintaining our compliance requirements always. Further, all projects impacting Operations require risk assessments, and input.

Key Responsibilities:
* In this role you will facilitate and manage Operations related GRC activities to ensure Operations remains compliant with all internal policies and external regulatory obligations. Further you will ensure that relevant controls, frameworks and guidelines are adequate, effective and fit for purpose. In addition, you will maintain awareness and understanding of enterprise risk and compliance policies, procedures, tools and frameworks across all of Operations.
* Your position is a key role in the Operations team, critical to ensuring business risks and issues are adequately identified, documented and effectively managed.
* You will also act as a key Operations representative on projects to ensure pre-implementation assessment (Identifying business risks and relevant controls emerging from projects) is conducted.

To be successful you will ideally possess:
* Being able to work within a fast paced commercial environment which involves being familiar with financial services, superannuation and advice market concepts and terminology
* Keeping pace with regulatory developments and how they impact UniSuper
* Experience with developing and testing Operational controls to ensure effectiveness whilst minimising impact to operational teams and leaders
* Establishing respected relationships with Operational leaders and across the organisation.
* Operating with a high-level of autonomy and accountability while ensuring that the General Manager, Operations is kept up to date on key risk and assurance issues affecting Operations and UniSuper
* Lead and manage the Operations Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
* Supporting Operational outcomes with internal and external auditors, projects and to support innovation and waste removal.
