About the Role

Our client is seeking a Portfolio Governance and Reporting Advisor to join them in a permanent capacity at their central Brisbane location. Reporting to the GM Portfolio Assurance, you will be tasked with managing and monitoring governance, risk and reporting at a Portfolio level for our clients strategic projects.

Working in an Assurance team focussed on business and process improvement, you will play an integral role identifying and elevating performance and governance risks to leaders and senior stakeholders. You will also facilitate the development and delivery of a framework to support the maturity of unrefined processes.

To be successful in this role you will ideally possess experience working on major or large-scale infrastructure or asset projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and maintain standard tools and templates that will be mandated for use;
* Drive effective risk management to technical teams;
* Help refine and define effective governance and risk frameworks and processes;
* Maintain an overall portfolio schedule of key projects;
* Deliver independent and objective insights and advice on the Portfolio and strategic work program performance to ensure delivery of the prescribed costs, benefits and capabilities;
* Coordinate Gate Reviews in support of the project key decisions of significance; and
* Support the approval and prioritisation process for planned and unplanned investment within strategic work programs.

Desirable Skills

* Experience managing Risk, Assurance and Governance at a Portfolio, Program and Project level within an asset-intensive or infrastructure heavy industry;
* Ability to design, implement and maintain tools and templates that support value maximisation in Projects;
* The ability to operationally execute strategies and initiative;
* Previous experience building and implementing (or assisting with the implementation) of governance and reporting frameworks;
* Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to write and present quality reports and findings to the Board and ELT; and
* The ability to escalate governance performance risks to program leaders.
