Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an Associate Director / Technical Director to join our highly successful team based in Canberra and spearhead the implementation of our ANZ Strategy for Defence Architecture. As part of the Buildings and Places group, you will be a Design Manager with a Defence Architecture background, critical to the success of this vast portfolio, accountable for overall design delivery and client experience. You will have a seat at the table in the ANZ Defence community, sitting alongside our Defence Industry Director, and responsible for managing a $80M account. We are looking for someone with passion, energy and fresh ideas, someone who is creative and innovative and committed to building trusting relationships with our Defence clients.
Minimum Requirements
As an experienced defence professional, you will have in-depth knowledge of the way the defence force engages and procure their consultants. You will have held a leadership role managing defence design services. You will be leading and managing multidisciplinary teams containing both AECOM employees along with other consultants. You ideally will have existing relationships within the DE&IG and broader defence industry and will be able to demonstrate a passion for working within the defence environment.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Proven track record as a Design Manager in the successful delivery of Defence projects on time, within budget and outstanding quality.
- Tertiary Qualifications in relevant Architecture Discipline.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Client Relationship/Management skills and experience.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Architecture Degree Qualified
- Project Management or Design Management courses would be looked on favourably.
