Animal Emergency Care (AEC) is an emergency and afterhours service based within the Perth Veterinary Specialists Centre, a leading multidisciplinary referral practice located in Perth’s inner northern suburbs. AEC strives to offer a high quality, compassionate and caring service for both our clients and their furry family members.

We work within a modern, first class facility with up to date equipment and an exceptional team of experienced emergency veterinarians and veterinary nurses. Our team practice a high standard of veterinary care for all their patients and are knowledgeable, approachable and highly supportive of each other.

This position would suit a Veterinarian with a minimum of two years’ experience, with a genuine interest in emergency medicine and who thrives in a fast paced, exciting environment.

Hours and Shifts to be worked are flexible but include evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Qualifications as a Veterinarian, registrable with the Western Australian Veterinary Surgeons Board
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Veterinarian with a keen interest and or background in emergency medicine (MANZCVS ideal).
  • Be committed to providing exceptional patient care
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently when required.
  • Exceptional organisation, time management and written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible, adaptable and a positive ‘can do’ attitude!
