About The Role

As the Specialist Systems and Digital Training Solutions, your role will be to provide expert advice to the Asset on the learning management system and excellence in the design and development of digital training solutions. This role is a full time position based in the BHP Adelaide office, with site travel required

In this role you will:

  • Guide and advise stakeholders to support their execution of LMS activities
  • Process solutions necessary to deliver training compliance information, services and tools to the business
  • Create and maintain the Asset’s processes and configuration specific to learning systems
  • Continuously improves processes, procedures and the quality of the learning experience via the learning systems; reviews and provide comment on business process changes that impact or rely upon the learning systems
  • Support resolution of enquiries related to BHP’s learning system, providing guidance to and coaching
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and subject matter experts, from various levels of the organisation, to facilitate the design of learning experiences that are innovative, engaging and challenging
  • Designs solutions, appealing to the learner and complementing their learning style by applying adult learning principles and best practice learning design
  • Develop innovative and engaging learning resources to build the capability of the learner, eg storyboards, elearning, PowerPoints, leaders’ guides etc.
  • Manage projects and stakeholders, ensuring learning is developed on time, implemented effectively and adopted by the targeted learner group

About You

  • Proficient knowledge of learning management systems, expert user support and sound problem solving skills with the ability to identify and recommend improvements
  • Demonstrated application of best practice instructional design methodologies in the design of learning solutions and assessments. Solutions accurately reflect training needs and support blended learning design
  • Demonstrated experience developing high quality elearning and technology enabled solutions, centred in creative and innovative design, using relevant tools
  • Significant stakeholder engagement experience across a diverse range of people with varying levels of seniority
  • Demonstrated project management discipline across the project lifecycle (from inception to completion)
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and practice and can draw on contemporary sources to assure best practice in learning and development solutions
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
