Did you know Nova Systems is a Major Service Provider to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) within the Australian Department of Defence? Comprised of Nova Systems, QinetiQ and PwC, Team Nova offers a true sovereign capability committed to growing the capacity of CASG and industry over the coming decade to deliver on the Integrated Investment Program. We’ve already commenced multiple long term Integrated Work Packages in Aerospace Systems Division and Joint Systems Division of CASG.

Team Nova has successfully been awarded Integrated Work Packages (IWP’s) in the following branches and looks forward to being involved in many more in the near future.

About the opportunity:

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from individuals with an Intelligence Analyst background to join our growing team of highly respected personnel in Newcastle. You’ll have exposure to Defence projects, at any stage of the project lifecycle. Your Defence experience will be in Intelligence and Surveillance Operations or Electronic Warfare Operations.

What will you be involved in:

  • Building strong relationships with key Industry and Commonwealth Partners;
  • Analysing the evolving security threat environment, providing tailored briefs to industry partners and Commonwealth staff;
  • Working with Industry and Commonwealth to develop and implement strategies to protect Australian capabilities;
  • Shaping, facilitating and managing stakeholder groups to achieve the required outcomes;
  • The development and delivery of written and verbal briefs, reports and strategy documents that will be delivered to a wide range of audiences;
  • You will assist the Program Team with governance and assurances that key Industry and Commonwealth Partners are working to achieve the required outcomes;
  • You will learn and gain extensive experience in the management of complex projects.

What we would like from you:

  • An Australian Citizen with an active or recently suspended AGSVA NV1 clearance;
  • Qualifications as an Intelligence Office, Intelligence Analyst or similar Commonwealth function with good knowledge of the C4ISR environment;
  • To be an excellent communicator, who enjoys working in close-knit operator teams, and with the ability to build rapport with our clients;
  • A demonstrated operational culture and experience, with the ability to in a dynamic environment whilst making materiel contributions to high-end capabilities;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the ADF operational environment;
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to consult to a diverse group of clients;
  • A passion for contributing to the protection of warfighting capabilities in leading edge operational environments;
  • Be a team player with a can-do attitude.

Desirable:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in Intelligence analysis;
  • Experience in joint, combined and coalition operations and/or exercises;
  • Experience in developing threat assessments and risk mitigation strategies;
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
