What a fantastic way to start 2021! Our large NSW State Government client provides a diverse range of essential services to reduce criminal activity and enhance protection of the community. They are currently seeking a Senior HR Advisor with extensive WHS and Injury Management experience to join their team in Sydney CBD. This is an estimated 5month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend

Working within the Strategic Human Resources Business Unit, you will be required to provide consultancy and advisory services on a wide range of human resources areas including recruitment, change management, learning and development, workforce planning, organisational design, performance and talent management to support divisions to achieve their objectives.

Your duties will include, however, will not be limited to the following;

  • Implement and coordinate a range of initiatives to support Injury Management services
  • Deliver case management for workers compensation claims
  • Develop and implement return to work plans and injury prevention strategies
  • Provide expertise advice and guidance to injured employees and relevant stakeholders regarding initiatives, status and implementation issues
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Facilitate referrals for independent medical assessments
  • Gather and collate data and performance metrics
  • Generate routine Injury Management reporting
  • Identify areas of improvements, making recommendations and strategies for improved service delivery
  • Review Injury Management processes to ensure compliance with Government policy and legislative requirements
  • Prepare a range of Injury management program related documents including status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers
  • Conduct research and analysis to support development of WHS initiatives across the division

To secure this great assignment you will have the following;

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, WHS, Injury Management or equivalent field
  • Thorough knowledge of current WHS legislation and best practice
  • Public Sector experience highly desirable
  • Previous experience working within a complex and sensitive environment
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Solid analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Innovative, takes initiative and adaptable individual
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
