Head of Public Sector - NSW - GTS

How will I help?
You will join and lead a team that is partnering with the New South Wales (NSW) Government to drive a purposeful innovation and digital transformation program that delivers better citizen experiences and supports the State’s productivity agenda. You will have the privilege to partner with some of the Westpac Group’s most senior and complex clients and will understand their needs through high-calibre stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement practices.

You will lead the NSW Public Sector Team within the Global Transaction Services (GTS) unit which is designed to service and pursue new to bank State Government and agency opportunities and growth as they arise in partnership with the Client Solutions and Insights Team. You will develop long term strategic plans to maintain relationships to maximise the opportunities to provide exceptional service to our clients.
You will also:

  • Execute the GTS relationship and sales strategy for the NSW Government and other NSW based Public Sector entities
  • Ensure contract compliance with the terms of all products committed in the relevant contracts
  • Enhance the GTS sales culture through embedding agile deal management processes
  • Consistently improve team productivity through sales process reengineering and partnerships with stakeholders and partners

What do I need?
Strong strategic sales experience with large and complex clients with the ability to lead, develop and influence your team, clients, and colleagues. You will have experience designing and leading solutions that improve the operational and financial management efficiency of our clients and will have a strong understanding of our transactional products and our clients’ strategy to identify opportunities to propose innovative and transformation services.
Some further advantageous skills:

  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading sales processes
  • Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems to benefit our customers and clients.
  • Degree qualified in law, commerce, accounting or business-related field or relevant related experience
