Position Summary

Sea to Summit are currently seeking a professional Project Manager who has extensive experience within Defence or Industry (CASG/ADF or Industry). Candidates must be Australian citizens and applicants residing outside of Australia will not be considered.

The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of planning, implementation and evaluation of projects within our Defence Team to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives under the L125 Phase 4 Field Equipment Deed. The ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met is also critical.

The Role

  • Fulfil and manage contract requirements
  • Meet or exceed the financial baseline requirement
  • Develop reports on progress and business management
  • Manage the monthly and weekly reporting, including all financial and commercial aspects.
  • Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Document control and development
  • Support and maintain and encourage the involved team including operational and design team members
  • Provide leadership to ensure a high-functioning team within a professional, safe environment.
  •  Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers, suppliers and other internal and external stakeholders.
  •  Identifying and managing project risks, issues and actions
  • Develop solutions to problems and contribute to business development initiatives

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management or Business management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 - 5+ year's experience in Project Management or Support within Defence or Industry (CASG/ADF or Industry)
  • Experience working within a Defence Acquisition, Sustainment or Procurement project.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification.
  • Experience working in a high performing project team.
  • Experience and understanding of the Defence Capability Life Cycle.
  • Experience in building trusted & valued relationships with project team members, customers & partners.
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills


Candidates must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 security clearance or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance prior to commencement of engagement. Applicants residing outside of Australia or non-citizens will not be considered.
