About the role

We are growing our Professional Services Engineering team based in Sydney, and as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will bring your technical expertise across Systems to deliver robust infrastructure solutions for our customers.

This role is customer facing and you will work on detailed solution design, build and implementation, using some of the latest technologies. You will be expected to work across multiple projects and your ability to think fast, learn and adapt will see you succeed in this cutting edge role.

You will:

  • Provide technical content for client proposals.
  • Produce detailed design documentation, based on customer requirements in collaboration with project teams.
  • Provide expertise and recommendations to improve existing designs
  • Implement infrastructure, systems and application solutions
  • Provide technical expertise, working across a multitude of infrastructure, security, systems and application products to plan, install, configure and support customer environments.
  • Deploy complex solutions in line with quality, scope and time constraints.
  • Prepare relevant handover documentation needed for transition into ongoing support.
  • Engage with customers and become a trusted advisor

Skills & experience

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, solution-oriented, collaborative and approachable with a focus on best practice:

  • 10+ years of experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer designing and delivering complex solutions for medium to large clients
  • Previous experience working for a Systems Integrator across multiple clients highly desirable
  • Proven experience in planning and execution of complex project deployments and migrations.
  • Strong technical skills across:
    • Windows Servers
    • Active Directory
    • VMWare 
    • Azure
    • Office 365
    • PowerShell scripting
    • Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer (a plus)
    • WVD (a plus)
    • AWS Cloud (a plus)
  • Proven ability to innovate, adapt and work under pressure in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and firm deadlines.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with proven document/report writing ability
