JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Purpose

The Manager Threat Intelligence and Reporting is a pivotal role in leading the development and management of the central cyber security intelligence function within the Office for Cyber Security to proactively and iteratively hunt for, understand and isolate advanced threats. The role will plan and scope the collection, analysis, and reporting of cyber threat information to increase the security posture of SA Government.

Special Conditions

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Prior to engagement successful candidates will be required to have their identity confirmed using the Document Verification Service for Australian issued primary identification documents.
  • Some work outside normal hours and some intrastate/interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
  • This role requires a working with children check.
  • This role requires a National Criminal History check.
  • A current driver’s licence, participation in an on-call roster and participation in an Incident Management Team will be required.
  • This role has been classified as a position of trust and a Designated Security Assessment Position (DSAP). The incumbent is subject to a satisfactory criminal history/record check in line with the Departmental policy and must be prepared to submit to a National Security Clearance to the level of Negative Vetting Level 2 (Top Secret).
  • May be required to work within other areas of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, other government agencies and interstate jurisdictions.


Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in information technology or other relevant field, and / or security accreditation such as CompTIA Security+, CSX Practitioner, CISSP, CISM or similar.
