Austrade’s Government Division works closely with our Executive and the Trade, Tourism and Investment Minister to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the Government’s and the Minister’s key priorities, including those which underpin Australia’s economic recovery and trade expansion.
We are responsible for the end-to-end policy service for Austrade, including policy development, policy implementation and policy evaluation and review. We take a strategic policy leadership role driving whole-of-government economic outcomes for exporters and investors, and our delivery of Austrade’s policy function and service is business-centric. We work in an agile and flexible structure, in a strategic partnership with Austrade’s strategy team and Chief Economist, and with Austrade’s Centres of Excellence and client-facing teams.
We have several positions for policy advisers within Austrade’s Government Division and the Tourism Recovery Taskforce, for a variety of policy roles. These include strategic and Budget policy, policy development, policy implementation, program development, evaluation and review, and business and stakeholder engagement.
This recruitment process is being used to fill both ongoing and non-ongoing positions. Positions will be offered on a non-ongoing (specified term) basis for an initial period of 12 months, with the possibility of becoming ongoing.
A merit pool may be created from this recruitment round to fill similar vacancies that may arise during the subsequent 12 months from the date of advertising.
