About the Role

This role will lead a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for providing expert advice, leading strategy and directing and managing governance systems to maintain and innovatively improve patient safety and clinical quality functions across Metro South Hospital and Health Service (MSH).

You will work collaboratively with Executives, senior managers, clinical/non-clinical staff and consumers to ensure that MSH has an effective, co-ordinated, organisation-wide approach to quality improvement, clinical effectiveness, healthcare standards, patient safety, patient experience and consumer liaison services. This ensures that MSH's approach to clinical governance remains contemporary, consumer focused and based on the best available evidence.

Practicing at a senior management level you will manage the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of strategies designed to advance delivery of evidence based and person-centred health care across MSH. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing contemporary and strategic advice for clinical governance to the Executive Director Governance, the Health Service Chief Executive, Board, Safety and Quality committees and other key stakeholders across MSH to advance MSH's purpose.
