Position summary:

Downer Defence Systems requires a Project Manager to manage the operation of the SEA1778 phase 1 project office and staff consisting of APS and Defence Contractors.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the project scope, budget, schedule and performance.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct all project administration processes associated with SEA 1778 phase 1.
  • Manage the SEA 1778-1 Acquisition Contract and acquisition of associated products and systems.
  • Undertake the role of the SEA 1778 phase 1 Integrated Project Manager under the Capability Life Cycle.

About you:

  • An essential requirement for the role is previous relevant experience working in an Australian Defence acquisition project, with specific knowledge and experience with the Defence Capability Life Cycle processes.
  • Previous relevant experience across the Land, Maritime and Air Domains is highly desirable.
  • Knowledgeable and advanced Project Management Practitioner with previous experience working under the Defence Seaworthiness Management System is seen as advantageous.
