About The Role

Our Finance team partner with every area of our business and ensure commercial thinking feeds into everything we do. By working across every team, we look at how we’re performing and provide useable insights to support strategic business decisions. With Australian former ‘CFO of The Year’ Leah Weckert steering our team, we set up our customers and people for success through good commercial sense.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver the Coles half and full year financial statements as well as lead the preparation of Audit & Risk Committee financial governance reporting. You will lead the delivery of financial governance activities and oversea the provision of technical accounting advice, support and training to Coles.

Good things you'll need

We’re after a highly skilled professional with considerable experience.

You’ll also need

  • a CA / CPA (or similar) qualification with proven management experience in a complex corporate environment
  • significant experience in an external audit and/or financial controller or external reporting role within an organisation
  • experience working with large corporates, Retail or listed companies would be preferred but not essential
  • experience collaborating and coordinating with a broad range of stakeholders across a business
  • experience with report writing Board / A&RC reports and financial governance policies
  • excellent interpersonal skills with significant experience managing internal stakeholders at GM level
  • strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
