- Casual position based at Amberley with the occassional travel to Oakey and Cabarlah bases
You are an experienced Dental Hygienist with a professional and friendly manner who enjoys interacting with patients and has an ability to put them at ease. Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, you take pride in contributing to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do. You are passionate about providing dental hygiene services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients.
About The Role
Under the supervision and prescription of the Dentist/Dental Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day provision of quality oral hygiene advice and dental hygiene services to patients in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as maintenance of patient records as well as sterilisation and infection control procedures and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dental Hygienist or Oral Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Extensive Dental Hygienist experience within the last 5 years
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
- Current First Aid (HLTAID003) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) certification.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery.
