We currently have an opportunity for a Data Governance Manager to join our team based at the Chatswood office.

Reporting into the Integrated Business Planning Manager and Analytics Lead, the Data Governance Manager leads and manages data governance by establishing and ensuring adherence to enterprise data governance frameworks for data policies, standards and practices. This role would be best-suited to someone with experience working in a large organisation with large scale data and someone with consulting and business partnering skills and experience. To be successful for this role, it is crucial to have knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Achieve consistency, quality, and protection of sensitive data and information assets
  • Roll out an organisation-wide data governance framework
  • Ensure framework is being adhered to and sustained
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards
  • Define indicators of performance and quality metrics
  • Develop and maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps
  • Ensure data related business requirements protecting sensitive data are clearly defined and communicated
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to achieve efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Qualification in Computer Science, Maths, IT or a related field
  • Knowledge of: Alation, EDW, Alteryx, SAP MD, BI (or similar Tech Stacks)
  • Experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to connect and engage with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Organisational skills to deliver quality work within a fast-paced environment
  • Results orientated and ability to manage adversity and challenging situations
