The role involves the provision of support and assistance in relation to a range of activities, including risk management, internal/external audits, business continuity and procurement.The State Revenue Office (SRO) administers a range of taxes, duties, levies, grants and subsidies on behalf of the Victorian Government. Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Leader Corporate Governance and Finance, you will be required to:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required in relation to a range of activities including risk management, internal/external audit and business continuity and crisis management.
- Assist in the management of the end-to-end cycle for low value and/or low complexity procurements.
- Monitor compliance of SRO procurements and contracts against VGPB, DTF and SRO's internal policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of processes, services and system improvement strategies in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform a range of administrative duties as required.
The ideal candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, risk management practices and business continuity processes.
- Experience in, or an ability to acquire a knowledge and understanding of, government purchasing and contract management practices and procedures, or demonstrated experience working in a regulatory environment.
- Ability to plan and prioritise work to meet prescribed deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of customer service and probity.
- Demonstrated effective communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal) and negotiation skills to liaise with stakeholders.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to initiate improvements to systems, policies, and processes.
