This is a Temporary Full Time position up to 27 February 2022, with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.
Part-time/job share will be considered.
Rotating roster with a variety of shifts to be filled including Weekends and Public Holidays.
About The Position
This position provides receptionist (front desk) and telephonist (COMMS) support within the Emergency Department. The incumbent is required to:
- Provide effective front line customer service for the Emergency Department.
- Deliver accurate and timely recording of patient information and processing of medical records.
- Maintain general administrative organisation of the central communication area within the department.
- Provide general administration support to the department and other staff including doctors.
The Shoalhaven area is one of the fastest growing areas of NSW with over 5,000 new residents making the move here every year. The area has plenty to offer with the beautiful beaches of Jervis Bay, rainforests of Kangaroo Valley and tourist townships like Berry, all

Shoalhaven Hospital is a busy rural hospital which employs over 1,000 staff and is the main acute care hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services.
