The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University. The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement. Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

Contribute to the development and implementation of the IT governance framework and the provision of specialist advice and guidance to Uni stakeholders

Receiving broad direction and working with a degree of autonomy, the IT Governance Specialist will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of the IT governance framework and the provision of specialist advice and guidance to University stakeholders on a range of governance related matters.

The role works as part of the broader governance team to undertake a range of governance activities, establishing and/or promoting compliance with branch and University standards/ policies/ procedures, facilitating the identification and management of branch risks, reporting on performance and supporting the various IT governance committees.

To Be Successful You Will Need

  • Demonstrated understanding and extensive experience in undertaking governance, quality assurance and commercial analysis related activities in a large and complex organization.
  • Demonstrated strong financial acumen and extensive experience with interpreting financial reports and budget related information.
  • Experience with or awareness of project management approaches, methods, tools and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including senior executive and establish strong working relationships with stakeholders to achieve required outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with initiative and strategic problem solving, set priorities and balance the demands of a complex working environment.
