The Senior Compliance & Governance Analyst is a permanent opportunity to join the Finance Business unit based at our Perth CBD office.
We’re looking for inspiring people who will:
- Lead development and maintain appropriate Finance and Business Service’s (FBS) compliance frameworks, programs, policies and procedures; make recommendations to the Trading Risk and Management Committee (TRMC) and other relevant committees.
- Oversee compliance of energy trading with relevant rules, licences, delegations, policies and standards; provide compliance advice on new and emerging product offerings to stakeholders.
- Collate input from business units and present consolidated monthly reports for the TRMC and the Audit and Compliance Committee on trading risk and compliance.
- Manage Synergy’s compliance with external obligations, including but not limited to the Renewable Energy Target liability and surrender process and any carbon reporting obligations.
- Review and update the wholesale energy credit policy, evaluate and report on business credit risk exposures.
- Degree qualifications in Finance, Economics or an equivalent discipline.
Working knowledge of energy trading market rules and relevant renewable energy legislation. * Advanced excel skills.
