JOB DESCRIPTION

  • $35 per hour + Super | 35hours per week
  • ASAP Start | Estimated 8-month temporary assignment, potential to extend
  • NSW State Government | Bathurst Location

Our NSW State Government client is responsible for the supervision and regulation of NSW greyhound racing industry, including upholding high animal welfare standards, overseeing, monitoring and enforcing compliance with regulations, policies and the Code of Practice. They are currently seeking an experienced Administration Assistant to join their growing team in Bathurst. This is an estimated 8-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend

Reporting to the Manager, you will be required to provide a wide range of administrative and business support services to the Registration and Welfare Business Unit to assist in achieving organisational objectives

In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties –

  • Deliver professional frontline customer service
  • Answer enquiries and provide timely and accurate information
  • Escalate complex enquiries as necessary
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and events
  • Coordination and preparation of meeting rooms including setting up, packing up, equipment arranging catering and overall presentation
  • Preparation of high level documentation including meeting minutes, agenda's, correspondence, briefing notes, reports and presentation material
  • Gather and collate information to support informed decision-making outcomes
  • Update and maintain registers
  • Order and maintain office equipment and stationery
  • Manage, track and sort incoming and outgoing mail
  • Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures

To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following – 


  • Minimum 2 years Administration experience
  • Public Sector experience desirable
  • Demonstrated experience working within a sensitive/complex environment
  • Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills
  • Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with MS 0365, Adobe Acrobat and TRIM essential 
  • High attention to detail
  • Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
