About the Role

The purpose of this role is to lead, coordinate and monitor evidence-based research activities and to drive service improvements aligned with the Clinical Governance Unit and Metro South Health's strategic priorities.

The Clinical Governance Research and Policy Officer will:

  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships between stakeholders across the hospital, community and the primary health care sector, so that initiatives and projects are effectively enabled.
  • Demonstrate improved outcomes for patients through agreed strategic health initiatives.
  • Assist with the transition of research into practice.
  • Keep up to date with new and emerging research relevant to clinical governance.
  • Proactively support the whole of clinical governance by providing resources, education and guidance to staff regarding evidence-based research activities.
