The Hospital

This hospital is a leading health care provider, with private and public hospitals, home nursing and Social Outreach services throughout Australia.The Emergency Department at is Western Australia’s only Private Emergency Department - our ED may be unlike any other you have worked in.We pride ourselves on a friendly and inclusive culture and look forward to new members to our team.

We have an all senior medical staff team consisting of a broad cross section of individuals - FACEM, Senior Medical Officers and ACEM trainees. Our mixed adult / paediatric ED sees approximately 20,000 patients per year with moderate acuity and a 40% admission rate. We have no access block, excellent access to diagnostic imaging, and a broad array of specialist inpatient colleagues in our 500 plus bed tertiary private hospital.

Education & ACEM Training

Our training program is accredited by ACEM. The hospital deliberately only have a small group of trainees, so that training can, as much as possible, be one on one or small group, and very much designed to meet the needs of individual trainees. They have a strong commitment to inter-disciplinary learning and make regular use of simulation as part of our learning programs. This hospital has a good track record with fellowship examination candidates.

The Role

We are looking for an additional Advanced ACEM Trainee or alternatively a clinically experienced Provisional ACEM Trainee to join our team;

• To be eligible for this opportunity, you must have
• Must have minimum 6 months ED experience.
• Current AHPRA registration or eligible for registration
• Eligible for registration via the CA or specialist pathway to work at Registrar level.
• Your full specialist training in the UK, USA, Canada or Ireland as a Consultant.
• Have had your specialist training assessed and have been found to be comparable to an Australian Consultant.
