We are seeking a Governance Manager to join the Westhaven team.You will hit the ground running in this newly created role within our Corporate Services Division.

Purpose of the role :

Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Services, the Governance Manager, is the custodian for the organisation’s service delivery compliance The role is responsible for coordinating processes to ensure Westhaven achieves the full range of accreditation along with other standards relevant to program agreements and to support high quality, safe and effective service delivery.

The Governance Manager will work as a part of the Corporate Team and collaboratively work with direct service delivery and Quality Safety and Risk to ensure the organisation is working across all teams to provide a framework that incorporates coordination, direction, systematic monitoring and evaluation to positively affect quality, safety and service and outcomes to clients, staff, volunteers and stakeholders. The position is responsible for clinical advice, mentoring, support and governance of the services programs along with developing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.

Knowledge, skills & experience required for this position :

Tertiary qualifications related to Health, Allied Health and/or Social Services
Professional Membership with AHPRA or eligibility
Demonstrated high-level leadership and track record in implementing and managing service delivery programs
In depth understanding and experience in clinical governance and accreditation standards within the human and social services
Ability to create a culture of accountability by setting the right metrics and tying performance to tangible results
Demonstrated high-level of discretion and sensitivity in dealing with confidential matters
Client-focused mindset
Effective at building strong working relationships both internally and externally
Proven track record in leading, implementing and managing service delivery programs and systems at a senior management level.
Relevant experience in clinical governance and accreditation standards within the human and social services.
Experience in meeting requirements of a variety of funding bodies and funding service agreements.
Demonstrated experience leading incident investigation, including expertise in or an understanding of Root Cause Analysis
Demonstrated experience utilising evidence-based quality improvement methodologies to improve quality and safety
Demonstrated experience promoting a culture of quality and safety, and continuous improvement in a health or social services setting and partnering with employees at all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience implementing and/or coordinating performance measurement, benchmarking and service standards in the social services or health sector.
Provide Clinical Supervision to practitioners
Ability to work flexibly and across Central and Western NSW
Excellent and demonstrated customer service knowledge and skills
Proficient in relevant computer applications, and data entry
Unrestricted current NSW Drivers Licence
Holding a current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and completing a National Criminal History Record Check clearance are requirements of this position.
