Your role in our future.

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Research Manager to join the Department of Radiation Oncology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

The Department of Radiation Oncology (DRO) at Peter Mac is the largest and most successful radiation oncology clinical research department in Australia with a diverse portfolio of clinical trials and clinical research activity at 5 hospital Campuses.

The research manager will provide leadership and effective management of clinical research and clinical trials within DRO.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled candidate. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Operational management of radiation oncology clinical trials including feasibility, budget management and resourcing.

  • Management of a team of clinical trial coordination staff.

  • Ensure all clinical trials are conducted in accordance with the study protocols, regulatory, ethical and ICH-GCP guidelines.

  • To maintain and enhance a support program for clinical researchers including project development, grant and ethics applications, budgets, GCP compliance and education.

  • Effective monitoring and management of budgets for grants, commercial contracts and clinical trials.

  • Provide operational management and leadership to ensure the departmental strategic goals for research are achieved.

  • To contribute to the development and implementation of clinical research governance, leadership and strategy at Peter Mac.

The position is fixed term (2 years) and full-time. Part-time (0.8 EFT) may be considered for the right candidate.
