About the Role

The Corporate Governance, Contracts and Procurement Manager provides leadership and senior management of corporate governance functions, including organisation contracts and procurement management. This includes oversight and holistic accountability for specific categories / areas of expenditure (clinical and non-clinical) within a larger portfolio. This includes playing a lead role in the approach to internal and external business partner relationships, commercial strategy delivery and ensuring adherence to the relevant risk, governance and policy requirements. The focus and scope of this role will vary in subject matter, project responsibilities and scope depending on the broader Calvary group and/or Business Unit requirements.

Primary responsibilities include:
Provide leadership and oversight of the organisation’s service contracts and agreements with business partners, including but not limited to service level agreements for both receipt of service and provision of service; managing group and site contract arrangements as required ensuring compliance and delivery against contract metrics and performance levels.
Play a lead role in strategy development & commercial project delivery, providing end-to-end procurement lifecycle advisory and support.
Develop, implement and evolve commercial strategies for categories at both the Calvary group and Business Unit level.
Lead commercial engagement activities including, but not limited to, approaching market through requests, supplier negotiations and contract development and execution.
Actively apply collaboration, continuous improvement and innovation principles to create and accelerate sustainable business value.
Manage complexity and uncertainty with an agile mindset and behaviours.
Engage and influence internal business partners and external supply partners to achieve the desired business outcomes.
Provide oversight for the organisation’s corporate audit program.
Promote positive workplace behaviours and culture.
Assist in driving supplier innovation in the portfolio at both the Calvary group and Business Unit level, through liaison with the Calvary Head of Procurement.

What you bring

Essential Experience

Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Logistics, Finance or Business with relevant professional experience
Demonstrable experience in leading / managing end-to-end Procurement lifecycle and commercial management, and general service contract management.
Demonstrated understanding and experience in risk management policy and practice.
Demonstrated ability in dealing with sustainability and corporate responsibility issues

Technical and Behavioural Skills

Building Partnerships - experienced in developing and leveraging a network of internal and external relationships to help deliver the strategy and provide professional development for team members
Strategic Thinking - experienced in planning holistic, longer-term strategies and identify opportunities and skills required to support future growth.
Problem Solving - applies critical thinking skills; identify, analyse, evaluate, prioritise and communicate information. Apply creativity and innovative thought leadership to make good decisions.
Third Party Management - experience in managing complex supplier relationships.
Category Management and Commercial Acumen - experienced in total life-cycle costing methods and data analysis. Experienced in the application of Strategic Sourcing / Category Management methodology and disciplines, with sound commercial awareness and project management skills to manage competing portfolio demands.
Stakeholder Management & Influencing - extensive experience influencing multiple stakeholder groups within a complex environment demonstrating strong communication and negotiation skills. This could include senior management, consultants and third party providers, as well as internal functional team members.
Digital Solutions Skills (Desired) - experience of working with, or awareness of, current procurement digitisation solutions (e.g. workflow automation tools, data visualisation tools, Procure-to-Pay solutions, Contract Database solutions, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence)
Communication - excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Values - commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary and the ability and desire to uphold these principles

Desirable

Exposure to ERP platforms such as Finance One, SAP, Oracle or similar
Knowledge and experience of the health industry.
