About the role

We have an opportunity for a Injury Management Advisor to be part of our Workforce Safety, Human Resources Command. The Injury Management Advisor (IMA) co-ordinates, influences and drives return to work and injury management activities on the NSWPF rehabilitation cases. The IMA ensures the files are managed in a durable, safe, cost effective manner, liaising with all key stakeholders with a goal of returning staff to work.

This is a temporary role and employment is either as temporary employment under Rule 11 of the Government Sector Employment (NSW Police Force) Rules 2017, temporary assignment under Rule 15 of the Government Sector Employment (NSW Police Force) Rules 2017 or a secondment under section 95 of the Police Act 1990 up to 12 months.

Essential requirements

  • Obtain and maintain the requisite security clearance for this role.
  • Hold a current driver’s licence with no traffic offences recorded on their driving history within the last six (6) months.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (allied health) and/or demonstrated industry experience in the coordination of rehabilitation services.
  • Return to Work Coordinator accreditation in accordance with SIRA requirements or willingness to obtain.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998 and sound understanding of rehabilitation case management principles.
