An opportunity exists at Sunshine Emergency Department for a Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team. The successful applicants will have emergency nursing experience, post Graduate Qualification in Emergency Nursing, excellent communication skills, motivation for continued professional development and be flexible to work a 7 day rotating roster.

Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department is a mixed emergency department, assessing and treating both adults and paediatrics. The department continues to see growth in annual presentations from the catchment areas and is now seeing over 85,000 patient presentations per annum. In addition to the emergency department, there is a 20-bed Emergency Observation Unit which admits approximately 40 patients per day through the unit for observation and treatment for a length of stay of up to 24 hours.

To be Successful in this Role you will have

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing And Midwifery Board of Australia

  • A passion for Emergency Nursing and completed Post graduate Qualification in Emergency Nursing

  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning and problem solving, prioritisation skills.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • The ability to work in a challenging environment with an energetic and diverse team
