JOB DESCRIPTION

SAET is the principal employment dispute resolution forum in South Australia. The majority of applications lodged in SAET are workers’ compensation disputes under the Return to Work Act .

SAET is an independent, accessible forum for responding to and resolving disputes quickly, that operates with minimal formality and cost, while promoting the best principles of decision-making.

Commissioners are required to conduct compulsory conciliation conferences in accordance with the South Australian Employment Tribunal Act 2014 , Statute Amendment (South Australian Employment Tribunal) Act 2016, SAET Regulations and the SAET Rules .

A Commissioner may be appointed on a full time or part-time basis.

To be successful you must have the ability to work in a high-volume and complex case-driven work environment and to resolve and determine disputes within limited timeframes. You will also have impeccable personal integrity, a demonstrated commitment to fairness, understanding of diversity issues and excellent dispute resolution skills.
