Systems Analyst, Hr System - Government, Based In Ashfield

A government organisation is looking for an experienced System Analyst to work on an HR Program with a focus on its analysis and reporting. The role is a contract that will run up to the end of December and it is based in Ashfield.

The role will work on a program of work that comprises the sourcing and implementing a Case Management and Learning Management system; and deploying the SafetySuite Work Health & Safety system (WHS).


  • Proven ability to understand and articulate business processes in a way that reflects data points and reporting potential
  • Ability to review a business process and identify what data would be required to report on the process effectiveness and generate metrics that matter
  • The ability to articulate the difference between reporting and analytics and design the appropriate solution to meet the business needs
  • Experience in building self-service reports embedded within People systems with a preference for SAP, SuccessFactors, SafetySuite WHS, Learning Management systems (LMS) or similar
  • Strong capabilities in data preparation and transformation with the ability to create joins, cleanse and create models suitable for analytical presentation
  • Experience in building visual analytics dashboards that communicate process performance and outcomes effectively in a way that is dynamic and intuitive to an end user
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage expectations with the limitations of system-based reporting and out of system bespoke reporting / analytics


  • At least five years of relevant experience in the analysis and reporting of an HR program
  • Demonstrated experience with a People Systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, Work Health & Safety System (WHS) or Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing business processes and building visual analytics dashboards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
