How will I help?

As a Senior Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring, you will be a part of the Group Operations Business Controls and Monitoring team where you will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders on all matters risk and control, responsible for implementation of solutions to risk and control problems. You will play a pivotal role in the definition and execution of effective risk governance practices, as well as driving risk insights through value add reporting and analysis.

The successful candidate will be involved in the following responsibilities:

Provide risk expertise to the business in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risk and controls issues to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives.
As part of a team of risk professionals, contribute to ensuring the divisional and business operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy regulatory obligations, and appetite of the group.
Support the proactive and effective monitoring, management and reporting of current and emerging risks and facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness and ownership of risk throughout the business.
Management of Risk operating cadence including regular monitoring, reporting, risk committees, and disclosures
Management of BEAR (Banking Executive Accountability Regime) operational plan and governance

What do I need?

5+ years’ risk management experience
Strong Banking, Financial Services, Risk Assessment experience
Risk and compliance background (legal background advantageous)
Strong writing and data analysis skills
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Relevant tertiary qualifications
