How will I help?

The Mortgages Business Controls and Monitoring (BCM) Team is responsible for leading non-financial risk management across the end-to-end Mortgages value chain. Your role is to support the Senior Manager, Governance and Executive Manager Governance and Reporting in carrying out the risk governance function for the Mortgages LOB.

You will be supporting the management of the end-to-end Mortgages risk governance committee process and secretariat function (taking of minutes and actions) at committee meetings, including attendance of all meetings. In addition, you will co-ordination committee meetings including calendar invites, agenda, attendance, and paper preparation.

As a Manager you will ensure that the committee Terms of Reference and frameworks are regularly reviewed, remain fit for purpose, and are enhanced as needed. You will be driving continuous improvement in the governance function to ensure effective oversight of risk management across the Mortgages LOB.

What do I need?

At least 2-3 years’ experience at a large corporate or professional services company.

You must have exceptional planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.

You will have to work autonomously and as part of a team, liaising with all levels of the Business. In addition, you must have the ability to manage, build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships.

Having Advanced PC literacy (MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is a must and at least experience at a large corporate or professional services company. You must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience as a Committee Secretary or in a similar governance role preferred.

Experience in financial services and risk management or compliance preferred.
