Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that decisions relating to the non-financial risk and controls environment are well informed, timely and appropriately socialised.

You will ensure that the business has the right level of comfort and governance within the risk environment.

The Consumer Finance Quality & Controls team supports the broader Consumer Finance Team, which consists of Personal Lending, Credit Cards, and Credit Risk, in managing the Consumer Finance risk and control environment.

You will be part of a team that delivers best in class risk management, supporting the business to make informed risk-reward decisions that deliver better customer outcomes. You’ll help build a strong risk culture and great risk understanding across the business.

On any given day you will:

  • Contribute to the delivery of the risk management committee governance, by collating and disseminating key data and insights;

  • Support consistent and timely preparation and delivery of risk management reporting

  • reporting Ensure risk requirements are adhered to through data collation and monitoring;

  • Prepare and perform administration of governance forums, including minuting and action management;

  • Support the analysis, tracking and reporting on the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS);

  • Perform and uplift internal team controls such as business continuity planning;

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the team

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise information and actively engage with stakeholders at various levels;

  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy whilst working to competing priorities;

  • Demonstrated experience in risk, controls and/or governance within Banking/Financial services;

  • Sound understanding of Operational Risk Frameworks, Systems and Processes;

  • Retail Banking product or service experience would be advantageous but not mandatory;
